Google Analytics real-time reporting bug confirmed

Many sites are reporting zero or little real-time traffic in GA4. Google has confirmed an issue with real-time analytics reports in Google Analytics, GA4. Many profiles see no real-time traffic reported since early this morning; some see only a fraction of their regular real-time traffic reported, while others see normal activity.

If you are seeing zero or very few real-time visitors through Google Analytics, you are not alone. This is a bug with Google, and the company intends to remedy it soon.

I know a lot of site owners woke up in a panic to these reports but again, this is just a bug.

Google Search Developer Docs Gain AI-Generated Help Features

A week ago, on Monday, March 18th, I found generative AI tools in Google's search developer docs to assist you in finding answers to your questions. This includes an improved search, a summary of the page content, a chat tool, and more. I was told that this was implemented in certain developer documentation earlier this year.

That feature went away for me later but I saw it reappear in the search bar. So Google is testing different ways to use AI in its developer docs.

Google Explains Why Images Are Gone From Some SERPs

Google's John Mueller explains why some image thumbnails have disappeared from the search results. Several bloggers have raised concerns in recent months about image thumbnails no longer appearing in search engine results pages (SERPs) for their websites. They used to appreciate the thumbnail photos that were displayed, but it appears that Google stopped presenting them.
